In 2011 Riga public transport passengers mostly used 20-trip tickets
According to the information of "Rīgas satiksme", in 2011 passengers in Riga public transport mostly used tickets for 20 trips. These tickets were registered 17 157 969 times, which accounts for 12% of the total number of passengers last year.
The second most popular ticket was for 10 trips, used by 11 691 416 passengers. It was followed by one-month ticket for all routes of one means of transport, which was used by 8% of passengers on the average.
As reported earlier, in 2011 "Rīgas satiksme" carried a total of 140 447 176 passengers. In the Latvian capital city of Riga the company operates 53 bus, 19 trolleybus and 9 tram routes, of which bus route No. 3, trolleybus route No. 15 and tram route No. 6 are the most popular ones.
